Red Curbs Wax demo... The test ledge went from unwaxed and unskateable to buttery enough for a broadslide across a dirt gap. Check it out and buy a brick or two.
I had this ledge scoped out for a while and was never motivated to wax it and skate it. Frankly I was always annoyed that it wasn't waxed already because there's other shit that people have skated near by. The new Red Curbs Wax made by Legion Skateboards needed to be tested. So I went to the spot with Johnny Ashley and we waxed it up.
The curb had signs of a previous attempt at a waxing but it was clear that those efforts were in vain. The ledge was real gritty and coarse, a perfect challenge for testing the capabilities of the wax. As we started waxing the ledge seemed too rough and was eating all the wax up but remaining sticky, but we kept at it and kept smoothing the wax into all the nooks and crannies with our boards and trucks. T here was a hilarious amount of people standing around staring at us while we began to wax. Persistence paid off and the ledge got buttery enough for Johnny to pioneer a boardslide across the dirt gap. Using the Red Curbs Wax we made an unused spot skateable. We waxed the curb with the rest of the block before we left, leaving it slick for the next time.
